Election Day is days away, and the Left is already calling the race.
With Joe Biden maintaining a double-digit lead in national polls and less substantial ones in key battleground states, Democrats and their media allies are eager to predict that President Trump will lose the 2020 election. Washington Post columnists have even blamed the president for “trying to burn it all down,” including the Republican majority in the Senate.
Don’t believe the hype. Just like in 2016, President Trump will defy the odds and the “experts” to keep the White House under Republican control. Democrats should prepare themselves for another dose of humility. Here are three reasons why:
The Silent Majority Is Real
In 2016, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton led then-candidate Donald Trump by seven points in Wisconsin, only weeks out from Election Day. She ended up losing the state by 0.7 percentage points — a nearly eight-point swing.
In Michigan, Clinton led by even more (double digits), only to lose the state by 0.3 percentage points — a greater than 10-point swing. In Pennsylvania, Clinton also led by double digits, only to get beaten again.
Notice a trend?
While national and statewide polls take into account certain voter preferences, many Americans are not registered by left-leaning pollsters, and they stay silent until Election Day to pull the trigger under the radar. While Biden may be “leading” in every battleground state except Florida, his “leads” are less sizable than Clinton’s in 2016, making it even easier for President Trump to flip the script.
The silent majority is real — you just haven’t heard from them yet.
The U.S. Economy is Roaring Back
Democrats may be doing their best to keep America’s economy locked down, but employers and employees are bringing us out of the COVID-19 recession. Buoyed by President Trump’s optimistic vision for the future, third-quarter economic growth surpassed 30 percent on an annualized and seasonally-adjusted basis. Many COVID-related job losses have been reversed, with jobless claims hitting their lowest levels since March.
While we are not out of the woods yet, we are clearly better-off now than six months ago. Even CNN has admitted the Trump economy is “booming.” This bodes well for President Trump, who has already presided over record-low unemployment rates for African-Americans, Hispanics, and other minority communities.
The Left Is Too Crazy
While President Trump focuses on pocketbook issues, his opponents have lost their minds. The Democratic Party is now the party of the $100 trillion Green New Deal, which will apparently replace fossil fuels and fracking. Democrats have either been reluctant or outright refused to condemn the rioting and looting brought on by Antifa and Black Lives Matter activists.
This is the same party that goes out of its way to complain about “systemic racism,” while anti-Trump liberals accuse newly confirmed Justice Amy Coney Barrett of being a white colonialist.
Why? For daring to adopt two children from Haiti.
This is madness. There is no place for it in American politics, yet Democrats will clearly stoop as low as possible to #Resist.
And that’s why President Trump will win in 2020. Not only are silent voters ready to reward the president for balancing economic activity and a pandemic response, but they are also voting against a radical Left that has infiltrated every corner of the Democratic Party.
Make no mistake: Joe Biden and his allies are no “moderates,” and they will be ousted on Election Day. It is as inevitable as Democrats blaming “Russian collusion” again for their loss.
